Harry Jacobs
Harry Jacobs, one of the finest football players in Bradley University history, was the captain of the famous Buffalo Bills teams which won the American Football League title in 1964 and 1965. Following his graduation from Bradley, he performed in the Chicago Tribune College All-Star game in 1959.
Joining the American Football League, he appeared in the first-ever AFL regular season game with the Boston Patriots in 1960, and after three seasons in Boston, was with the Buffalo Bills from 1963 through the final AFL season in 1969, just prior to the merger with the National Football League. He also played in the very last game of the AFL and starred on the 1964-65 Bills' teams that won the AFL championship. He also played in two All-Pro games. Jacobs then ended his career with the New Orleans Saints in 1970.
