Brooke Monroe
Brooke is widely regarded as Morton High's bestever softball player. She was a 3-sport star and left the school with 7 school records and twice was accorded all-state honors. She was a starter in 12 IHSA Class AA State Tourney games during her high school career.
Continuing her education at Indiana University, Monroe spent 4 years as the Hoosier's starting
catcher, logging 201 games and 607 at-bats. She ranks 4th in career home runs, 4th in doubles and 5th in RBIs. She was a 3-time All-Big Ten choice and got All-American honorable mention in 2001.
Obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management in four years, Brooke completed her Master's Degree in Sport Pedagogy at Purdue in 2004 where she had been serving as assistant/volunteer women's softball coach. In 2004 she was hired as full-time assistant softball coach at Purdue.
