Anthony Parker
Signed out of Naperville Central High School, Anthony Parker was named to Bradley basketball’s 15-man Team of the Century and the Missouri Valley Conference Hall of Fame. As a four-year starter, Anthony averaged 15.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists for Bradley and finished his college career in 1997 with 1,683 points, then eighth on Bradley’s all-time scoring list. As a junior, he was named MVC Player of the Year as Bradley won the 1996 conference title, and he scored 34 points, making 8 of 10 3-point shots, in a first-round NCAA tournament game against Stanford. He played for the U-22 U.S. men’s national team that won the gold medal at the 1996 FIBA Americas Championship. The New Jersey Nets selected Anthony in the first round of the 1997 NBA draft. After three injury-plagued NBA seasons, he played six seasons in the EuroLeague, led Maccabi Tel Aviv to two EuroLeague titles and was named MVP of the EuroLeague Finals in 2004 and 2005. He returned to the NBA and in 2006-07 helped the Toronto Raptors win the first division title in franchise history. He later joined LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he helped them achieve the NBA’s best record in the 2009-10 season. In nine NBA seasons, Anthony averaged 9.1 ppg and shot 40.4% on 3-pointers. He averaged 10.9 ppg in 22 NBA playoff games.
