Inductees The Sunday Morning League is to be honored for its steady contribution to the Central Illinois baseball scene since its organization in 1916.
Since its inception, over 3,000 players have been given a chance to play baseball of a high caliber.
Many former professional players have played in the league and the league has also sent a number of its players into the big leagues including long-time Pittsburgh Pirate third baseman Lee Handley; his brother, Gene, who also played the infield; durable outfielder Bill Tuttle, catcher Jim Robertson, first baseman Danny Goodwin and pitchers Dick Weik, Guy Hoffman and Zack Monroe

If you've never seen a dynasty built, you haven't been watching. Six seasons as cross country coach at Eureka High have produced four consecutive boys Class A IHSA championships. During that period, Brett's success includes four top ten finishes for his girls team, and a 1999 IESA 8th grade girls title at Eureka Middle School. Charlton was our 1999 winner.
