Inductees An internationally known road racer and car builder, Irv Hoerr raced professionally for 27 years, winning 65 races at 30 different tracks.
He had wins at every major road course in the United States including Daytona, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock, Sebring and Road America, as well as in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, Venezuela and Guatemala.
He won seven driving championships, six in four divisions of the International Motor Sports Association and one in the Latin American GT series.
He was selected in 1992 and 1995 to the All-America Racing Team by the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association where his teammates included Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Al Unser Jr., Tony Stewart, Michael Andretti and Juan Fangio II. He was Norelco Cup Driver of the Year in 1989 and Motorweek Road Race Driver of the Year in 1986.
He also raced in seven NASCAR Winston Cup races on road courses with two top ten finishes.
He stopped full time driving after the 1996 season, but continued a partial schedule through 2002. He is now co-owner and operator of Hoerr Racing Products in Peoria.

Jim Watson has devoted more than forty years to the youth and public of our community. He is recognized throughout central Illinois as an excellent official, coach, administrator and league organizer.
