TriCounty Call her the Rockets' launcher. With the junior right-hander collecting six of Limestone's seven state-series wins, the Rockets softball team won the inaugural Class 3A state tournament in June at EastSide Centre.
Mackenzie Camp finished the season with a streak of 30 scoreless innings, the final seven coming in a 3-0 championship-game victory over Mattoon. Camp's two-hitter included 15 strikeouts and two walks.
Her 18-3 record overall also included a 1-0 semifinal win over Marengo in which Camp had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 12th inning.
In November, she signed a national letter of intent with Bradley University.
