A. J. Jim Robertson

"Jimmy" Robertson was a three sport athlete at Peoria High School - a football quarterback, an infielder in baseball, and a guard in basketball.

Later, he played all three sports for Bradley, basketball for one season. When he signed his first professional contract with the New York Yankees to play for Grand Forks, N.D., in the Northern League in 1949, he was a catcher.

Prior to signing his professional contract, Jim played for some time in the Sunday Morning League on the same team with his brother, "Corky" Robertson.

Later, in 1953, he was part of a 14-player deal with Philadelphia, and played in 63 games with the old A's in 1954. The next season the A's had moved to Kansas City and Robertson played briefly before leaving the big leagues.

He appeared in a total of 69 games
